Padders factory Shop is a purpose built retail unit annexed to Padders main factory in Kettering. Although predominantly selling the Padders brand, the factory also stocks other reputable foowear at prices well below normal retail.
After an initial consultation Coland Systems determined that the best way to manage the operation was to effectively create two distinct sites, the shop itself and the warehouse. Using this configuration we were able to sperate the stock between the two sites and allowed us to implement a structure for the staff to replenish shop floor stock on a daily basis from their extensive warehouse. In order to achieve this a member of the team would create a pick list of the days sales and then scan the items to be replenished as a transfer. On completion of the transfer the transfer ID is entered at the Epos terminal and the stock is then electronically moved from one site to the other.
The introduction of a retail system has now made the operation of managing high levels of stock movement far more accurate and less time consuming. Furtherrmore, the sales data is invaluable in determining which product styles are creating the most turnover and profit, helping with merchandising and stock management.
Padders Factory Shop are now extending their operation to include a Childrens department and we are currently working with their team to set up the infrastructure to manage this new and exciting operation.
