Originally founded in 1870, Kennedys Shoes is an institution in Canterbury and is located almost opposite the main entrance and facade to Canterbury Cathedral. Kennedys are one of the few footwear retailers that appeal to both the discerning traditional customer as well as the more fashion conscious customer, and continue to go from strength to strength. Coland Systems have had an association with Kennedys Shoes and their team for many years and were initially requested to initiate a back office and Epos system to manage their sales and stock control. The diversity of Kennedys product lines reinforced their decision to install a full retail system and has subsequently allowed them to analyse not only their better selling products, but also those that are slower selling products and require liquidating. The intergration of a retail system has also allowed Kennedys Shoes to move towards a more controlled environment of stock management and has proved influential in their range planning decisions.
